Feedback – June 2021
Discover Weekend happened 11-13th June, run as an “outdoors” event under Covid rules in a beautiful peaceful valley in Sussex, with the sun shining each day – with the use of an open ended barn, a large marquee, proper toilets and a cold shower in a sheep trailer! 18 adults, plus a few children either camped in tents provided, or stayed in host homes overnight, joined by staff, field workers and an army of volunteers.
During the weekend, we worshipped God (yes we could legally sing together!), prayed, listened to information on Central Asia, interviewed field workers and spent time in small groups asking questions and chatting. Two of our Regional Leaders couldn’t get into the UK, so spent all of Saturday online with us, which worked really well. Feedback forms were extremely positive from our participants.
We plan to hold another world mission ‘discover’ event in 2022 – but don’t know where or when at this point, so it’s never too early to register your interest!
