Feedback – June 2021
Discover Weekend happened 11-13th June, run as an “outdoors” event under Covid rules in a beautiful peaceful valley in Sussex, with the sun shining each day – with the use of an open ended barn, a large marquee, proper toilets and a cold shower in a sheep trailer! 18 adults, plus a few children either camped in tents provided, or stayed in host homes overnight, joined by staff, field workers and an army of volunteers.
During the weekend, we worshipped God (yes we could legally sing together!), prayed, listened to information on Central Asia, interviewed field workers and spent time in small groups asking questions and chatting. Two of our Regional Leaders couldn’t get into the UK, so spent all of Saturday online with us, which worked really well. Feedback forms were extremely positive from our participants.
We plan to hold another world mission ‘discover’ event in 2022 – but don’t know where or when at this point, so it’s never too early to register your interest!
What folk said…
“I really appreciated how much you celebrated small examples of the gospel going out rather than emphasising numbers (of converts, @ meetings etc). It felt real.”
“Big positive, splitting us into groups for the Q&A over coffee/lunch etc and mixing the groups up was an EXCELLENT idea because it meant we met each other as well as meeting the “delegates” and leaders.”
“Thanks so much for putting this on, flying the Mission flag!”
“Thank you, thankyou, thankyou for the team effort organising such an amazing event.”

“A family that I didn’t know I had before coming.”
“It was a very non-threatening weekend, with no pressure to ‘sign-up’ to anything, but instead giving lots of useful information to help us think things through. It lived up to its name, “Discover” weekend.”
“THANKYOU. Incredible all round. Thank you for your time and effort in the lead up and during the weekend. I am very grateful.”
“Informative with lots of opportunity to ask deeper questions, appreciated also hearing other people’s stories.”

“no pressure, extremely informative, genuine care and interest and a desire to see people helped in their journey.”
